Comics can be a good tool to illustrate a scenario or a narrative to explain complex products and services.
I was asked to create a set of images to illustrate an end-of-the-year meeting between a financial advisor and his client. The brief required a very visual composition/set of graphics in the form of a comic strip and a slideshow.
All assets were used in different platforms and various marketing efforts and the final delivery had to be adapted to those platforms accordingly.
I was asked to use AI to generate the images, as the business also used AI in its offer. Also, creating these images by hand would be a big investment in terms of money and time that the company didn’t have.
For me it was a steep learning curve as I had never used AI to create a specific image for a specific project, until then I had only used AI to created mood boards and generate ideas for projects.
I used Photoshop to create consistency across the characters and the background and to add the speech bubbles.
Animations and motion graphics are amazing ways to illustrate and explain complex processes.
AIDA is an AI model from Income Discovery that allows financial advisors to provide their clients with the most tax-effective financial retirement plan that considers planned and unplanned expenses and different tax brackets.
The brief was to create an animation, to be used in the website and within sales and corporate presentations, that visually explained how the AI model works.
This animation is ever-evolving as it needs to reflect the improvements within the model and the platform.
Infographics can help illustrate numbers, in this case at least!
I was asked to draw some sort of chart that illustrated the financial ins and outs of a subject over a period of a calendar year, to be incorporated on each clients’ annual report.
The resulting asset was to provide a quick overview of the subject’s financial situation, as well as giving some detail about sources of income and spending.
It had to work alone and on a set of two charts side by side and I also had to provide instructions and all variables for the developers.
The brief was to develop a set of graphics to illustrate the quick 3 step process of the Retirement Income Paycheck by Income Discovery.
The illustration where later on used in a number of different assets.
To design presentations for propect clients, investors and conferences to showcase the functionalities of the service with architecture diagrams, “day in a life” user journeys (branded & unbranded.)
